The Autumn Spiritual Retreat is designed to offer parishioners and visitors a day of reflection, meditation, and spiritual renewal in preparation for the end-of-year liturgical season. The retreat provides a structured yet flexible program aimed at deepening participants’ connection to Orthodox Catholic faith through prayer, contemplation, and guided discussions.

The day will begin with a warm welcome and orientation at 10:00 AM, during which participants will receive a brief overview of the retreat’s structure, objectives, and the schedule for the day. Following this, the morning session will include guided prayer and meditation exercises led by our parish clergy. These exercises will focus on self-reflection, mindfulness, and spiritual awareness, allowing participants to center themselves and prepare for deeper engagement in the day’s activities.

At 11:30 AM, participants will join a discussion session on the significance of Orthodox Catholic liturgy and the sacraments in everyday life. The clergy will provide historical context, theological insight, and practical advice on how to integrate these practices into daily routines. Attendees will be encouraged to ask questions, share personal experiences, and engage in dialogue with others, fostering a sense of community and shared learning.

A light lunch will be provided at 12:30 PM, offering participants the opportunity to socialize and continue discussions informally. In the afternoon, the retreat will resume with a workshop on spiritual journaling and reflection. Participants will learn techniques to record insights, prayers, and personal experiences, helping them cultivate ongoing spiritual growth beyond the retreat.

The day will conclude at 3:30 PM with a communal prayer service in the parish church. This service will include traditional hymns, scripture readings, and a guided meditation reflecting on the lessons of the day. Participants will leave with a renewed sense of purpose, clarity, and inspiration, equipped with practical tools to continue their spiritual journey.

The Autumn Spiritual Retreat is suitable for parishioners of all ages and backgrounds. No prior experience in Orthodox Catholic practice is necessary, making it accessible to newcomers as well as long-standing members. Attendees are encouraged to bring a journal, comfortable clothing, and an open mind. This retreat exemplifies our parish’s mission to foster spiritual growth, community engagement, and meaningful reflection.
